We will be offering a variety of local farms, specialty crop producers, and value-added local food makers at this year's Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts (SBN) 7th Local Food Trade Shows to be held on Monday, March 5, 2018, 8am - 3pm at Northeastern University.
Here is a sampling of New England regional products to be featured at the trade shows:
Arugula, green beans, beets, broccoli, cabbage, asian greens, carrots, cauliflower, celery, corn, cucumbers, eggplant, fennel, garlic, kale, kohlrabi, leeks, lettuce, onions, peas, peppers, potatoes, pumpkins, radishes, scallions, squash, zucchini, swiss chard, tomatoes honey, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, apples, cantaloupe, watermelon, peaches, nectarines, mushrooms, honey sodas and sparkling waters, fermented products, popcorn, herbs, lavender, hot sauce, praline, candles, coffee, cauliflower pizza crust, peanut butter cups, maple syrup, apple cider, pickles, sriracha, salsa tortillas, milk, granola, dairy, eggs, charcuterie, halvah, syrups, baked goods, ice cream, ghee, hummus, black bean burgers, hot sauce, water, ravioli, cashew cheese, maple drinks and MORE.
The 2018 Local Food Trade Shows are designed to facilitate connections and stimulate business relationships between producers and wholesale buyers of local food, with a focus on specialty crop food products in Massachusetts. This event is ideal for restaurants, retailers and institutional buyers interested in trading with local food suppliers and who desire to buy more locally produced products from growers, fishermen, and value added producers from Massachusetts and New England. This Trade Show is funded by the USDA Specialty Crop Block Grant, sponsored by the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources.
There will also be two great workshops with expert panelists from the region who will share their experiences, tips and lessons learned. The workshops will take place from 9:45 am and 11 am. To supplement the workshops, SBN will offer free, 1:1 consultation sessions with industry experts in sales, marketing, legal & finance.
